INTERPRETING SERVICES
SO YOU NEED AN INTERPRETER…. I have been an interpreter for 30 years! First to my parents, and now professionally in schools, clinics and in private settings. First off, interpretation is spoken, but it is not a word-for-word translation of a spoken message. It enables real-time cross-linguistic communication either face-to-face, in a conference setting or over the phone. It is very important to grasp the concept of the message to be able to interpret it correctly.
All Spanish in not the same in the United States and your interpreter should be aware that a Spanish word does not carry its literal meaning across different Spanish speaking countries and regions. I have the pleasure of constant exposure to different colloquial Spanish of America and Europe. I have worked as an interpreter on projects involving conferences, meetings & medical appointments.
My forte lies specifically in the healthcare field involving assessments, progress reports, and in the school districts for 504 & IEP meetings.
